I have been thinking about immigration and would like to know the stories of people who have already gone through the process. What were the challenges, what were the moments of joy, and how did they adjust to their new life in another country? I immigrated to Canada ten years ago from Europe. It was difficult, but also fascinating and very educational. I had the support of local organizations and people who helped me adapt to my new life. The key was having a job, which I had found before I moved, and knowing English well. With time I felt more confident and now I believe that immigration was the right decision for me. I also immigrated to Canada, but at a mature age. It was more difficult for me, because I did not know English and I did not have any work experience in Canada. I was trained in the language and found a job, but the adjustment was long and difficult.
